Donna Marie Jensen

Services for Donna Marie Jensen were held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson. Visitation was after 1:00 p.m. Friday with family present from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Paul Smith provided words of comfort. Honorary bearers were Donna's nieces and nephews. Recorded music selected was The Dane and Amazing Grace. Interment took place at Franklin Township Cemetery in Cooper, Iowa. Donna Marie Jensen, daughter of Marvin Andrew Richardson and Ruby Irene Hegwood Richardson, was born October 26, 1950 in Jefferson, Iowa and died September 1, 2015 at the Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson, Iowa at the age of 64. Donna grew up in Jefferson and attended Cooper County School. In 1979 Donna and Delbert Eugene Jensen were united in marriage. The couple moved to Churdan where they made their permanent home together. Donna worked at Truck Haven for many years before starting at Uptown Caf in Jefferson. Donna and Delbert didn't have children but took care of their nieces and nephews like they were their own. She collected horses, bears and wolves and loved listening to country music. Donna was preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Ruby; husband Delbert; brothers Jerry, Larry and Doug. Donna is survived by her dog Cheyenne; brother Marvin James "Jim" Richardson of Perry; sister Dorothy Smith (Zene) of Carroll; aunt Jeanette Richardson of Estherville; nieces & nephews: Toni Delp, Paul Smith, Terri Delp, Jerry Smith, Zene Zach Smith Jr., Jamie Richardson, Matt Richardson, Regina Wolf, Andrew Richardson, Jessica Lestina, Tracy Stanek, Tammy Peel, Joyce Richardson, Amy Mink, Jeff Richardson, Jenny Richardson, Chris Richardson, Amanda Richardson, other relatives and many friends.
