Donna Olson

Donna M. Olson, 87, formerly of Perry, Iowa, died March 2, 2020 at home in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by family. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Perry Bible Church in Perry. Visitation will be on Monday, March 9, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Perry Bible Church in Perry. Burial will be in the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry. Memorials will be given to family and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. She was born January 25, 1933 in Dedham, Iowa, the daughter of the late Dorothy and L. M. 'Mac' McComas and was the youngest of 7 siblings. She lived in Perry, Iowa most of her life and graduated from Perry High School. She was a beloved member of First Baptist Church in Perry for many years and more recently attended First Baptist Church of Shamrock, Texas where she had many friends. She was a woman of strong faith in God and great love for her family, friends and others. She is survived by her children; Vicki Stewart (Roy Don) of Adamsville, Alabama, Danny Cannon of Shamrock, Texas, David Cannon (Peggy) of Perry, Iowa and Mickey Cannon (Patricia) of San Antonio Texas; and also Rick Olson (Judy) of Howard, Kansas and Nancy (Olson) Harris of Sun City, Arizona; along with many wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought great joy to her life. She is also survived by her sister, Janis Genovese, of Carlisle, Iowa. Mrs. Olson was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Olson.
