Donna Pettit

Donna (Butcher) Pettit, 88, of Winterset, passed away at her home on Saturday, February 20, 2021. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel. Burial will follow in the Moon Cemetery near Macksburg. Donna, daughter of William and Hazel (Sutherlin) Butcher was born February 15, 1933 in Clarke County, Iowa. Donna enjoyed working at the Corner Tavern in Winterset where she worked for 26 years. She played on the Warren and Madison County Pool Leagues and won many trophies. She made many good friends and met some very interesting people. She is survived by her two children and one step daughter, Judy Van Cleve of Creston, Craig (Kathy) Linthicum of Lathrop, MO, and Paula (Charlie) Hannon of Winterset; and numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; 8 brothers; 2 sisters; step-son, Brian Pettit; son-in-law, Larry Van Cleve; a very special friend, June Paullin; and many nieces and nephews.
