Doris Shambaugh

Doris Shambaugh, 81, of Carlisle (formerly of Winterset), passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Carlisle Center for Wellness & Rehab. A memorial graveside service was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the North McDonald Cemetery in Madison County. Doris Francine Thompson was born in Madison County, Iowa on November 1, 1940, the daughter of Clarence and Harriet (Jones) Thompson. She was a Christian and was confident in knowing she was saved by God’s grace. She did attend Sunday services at the First Baptist Church in Winterset. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Nicky Thompson; sister, Maris Snyder; and grandson, Joshua Schuster. Doris is survived by her children, Donna Schuster, Kesha Shambaugh, and Becky Bennett; sister, Cheryl Wedemeyer; and several grandchildren.
