Dorothy Stacy, 95, died Monday at Baxter, Iowa Health Care Center. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Thursday September 20 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel. Friends may call after 2:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 5 - 7 pm. Dorothy was born in Roggen, Colorado to Fred and Lanie Stephens on April 9, 1917. They moved to Iowa when she was seven and she spent the rest of her life in the Redfield and Adel area. She was employed with Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for 25 _ years, Weight Watchers, and Living History Farms for 15 years. She spent many hours as a volunteer for Home Care and many other organizations. She received the governor's award for volunteering in 1997. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Adel since 1942 serving in many different roles. She is survived by one son, Roger (Linda) of Baxter. Two granddaughters, Heather (Kim) and Angela. One grandson, Jason (Lindsey) and 5 great grandchildren, sister in law La Nelle Glass and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and a great granddaughter. Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Christian Church.
