Edith was born to Curtis and Lillian (Sanders) Walker in Des Moines, IA on March 20, 1937. She graduated from Des Moines Tech High School. Edith and Harold just celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on November 6th, 2024. They were self employed and created their own business called Toys-N-Things. They also had Heartland Mini Railroad, which you could find at the Farmers Market Downtown Des Moines, IA. Edith was very devoted to her faith as a Jehovah Witness. She helped numerous people learn about the Bible. You could find Edith enjoying fishing, camping, traveling and spending time with family. She will be greatly missed.
Edith is survived by her husband Harold Drake, of Bondurant, IA, three children, Christine (Juan) Ramirez of St. Paul, MN, Steve (Cindy) of Indianola, IA, Rick (Diana) of Altoona, IA, Seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, four brothers, one sister, numerous nieces and nephews.
