Edith Marie Moore

Edith Moore, age 86 of Perry, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the Perry Lutheran Homes Kings Garden Campus in Perry, IA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the New Day Assembly Of God in Perry. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery in Adel, IA. Memorials will be given to her family for later designation and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Edith Marie Moore was born on December 13, 1936, at Iowa City, IA to Robert and Flossie Marie (Long) Berner. She graduated from Dallas Center High School. She was united in marriage to Orvie Charles Moore at Watertown, SD on December 25, 1955, for 67 years. She worked for 21 years at Perry Manor nursing home. Together with Orvie they operated the Bargain Shop in Perry for 27 years. She was a member of the New Day Assembly of God in Perry and enjoyed singing. Edith enjoyed going to church and being involved in church activities. Edith loved making cookies and sending them home with whoever came. She always had a camera in her hand to capture memories of her family. In death she rejoins her parents, Robert, and Flossie Berner and her uncles, Willis and Charlie Long. Left to cherish Ediths memory are her husband Orvie Moore, children, Robert Moore, Roger Moore, Dennis Moore, and Donna Kenney, grandchildren, Jessica (Jimmy) Light, Scotti Ramberg, Andrew (Lauren Bellard) Walton, and Kayla Moore, great grandchildren, Taylor Perry, Maylee Knight, Alex Ramberg and Ada Ramberg, and Cousins, Ruth Guisenger and Helen Bergman.
