Edith R. Renshaw

Edith Renshaw, daughter of Jacob Ratzlaff and Annie Fletcher Ratzlaff, was born June 12, 1916 in Fortuna, Missouri, and died December 28, 2007 in Coon Rapids, Iowa, at the age of 91 Years, 6 Months, and 16 Days. Edith moved to the Bagley area in 1920 and graduated from Bagley High School in 1934. She always lived close to her siblings and extended family. She married Russell Renshaw on March 7, 1937 in Guthrie Center. They made their home around Coon Rapids, Bagley and the Bayard areas raising their three sons; Harold, Don and Ron. Edith liked to garden, cook fried chicken for her family, entertain her friends, but most of all was focused on her family. She was a member of Church of Christ in Bagley, was a past officer in the American Legion Auxillary, and was also a Den Mother. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter-in-law, Kristine; sisters, Mary Jackson, Elizabeth Tuel, and Susan Brown; brothers, Ira, Elmer, Clarence, Fred, Allen, and Henry. She is survived by her sons, Harold (Betty) of Sioux City, IA, Don (LaVonne) of Glenwood, IA, and Ron of Springfield, IL; grandchildren, Renee Watson, Andrea Nelson, Eric Renshaw, Rebecca Wighton, Brendon Renshaw, Leah Renshaw, Robin Richard, Brady Renshaw, Cody Renshaw, Rachel Bentley, Randa Renshaw, Kara Renshaw, and Amanda Hazlip; great-grandchildren, Nick Nelson, Ben Nelson, Griffin Renshaw, Norah Renshaw, Sydney Watson, Parker Watson, Hannah Renshaw, Corey Wighton, Audrianna Richard, Garin Richard, Aralyn Richard, and Aiden Renshaw; other relatives and friends.
