Edward E. Grunder 87, of West Des Moines, IA passed away Wednesday April 30, 2014 at Bright Kavanagh Hospice House in Des Moines, IA surrendered with his wife and children. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Caldwell Raddatz at 8201 Hickman Rd Urbandale, IA with visitation one hour prior. Edward was born on December 31, 1926 in Mechanicsville IA to John and Beulah Grunder. Edward married his wife Margaret on June 28, 1968. He is survived by his wife Margaret of 46 years, 3 daughters Sandy (Terry) Strong of Suncity, Az, Kim (David) Stevens of Marion, IA, Melindia Reinholdt (Jeff DeMoss) of Des Moines IA, son, Robert Grunder (Jennifer Bidler), 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Edward was preceded into eternal life by his parents John and Beulah Grunder, 2 brothers John Jr. and Raymond. The family has respectfully requested that any memorial contributions may be directed to Bright Kavanagh Hospice House.
