Edward “Hank” Marten

Ed passed away on Saturday, November 18 at the age of 75 after a long and heroic battle with multiple health issues. Per his wishes, cremation was performed and his remains will be buried in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington, Iowa. No funeral services are planned. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn, and sisters, Jody Marten of Washington D.C. and Elizabeth Mehl of Annapolis, Maryland. He is also survived by many in-laws and several nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by two infant sons, Eddie and Scott, as well as his Mom and Dad, Josephine and Edward Marten. His family would like to express their deep gratitude and appreciation for the exceptional care he received from both the staff at Urbandale Health Care Center and Unity Point Hospice.
