Edward L. Kline - Adel

Edward Kline, 66, of Adel, Iowa, passed away peacefully Friday, February 20, 2015, at his home in Adel, surrounded by his loving family. Ed was born on August 8, 1948 in Albia, Iowa, to Roy and Mildred (McDonough) Kline. Ed spent many years working for the Laborers Union and as a supervisor at United Brick and Tile. He recently retired from the Adel School system as a student transporter. On October 3, 1998, Ed married Luann Whitten. Ed attended Fusion Church with his family in Adel. Ed enjoyed hunting, camping, playing horseshoes, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Ed is survived by his wife Luann Kline, his children; Roger Allen Kline, Tina (Bob) Chapman, Lisa (Dave) Narber, Ryan Gainuss, Bailey Harrison, Kaylinn Croft, and Michael Croft-Kline. Siblings: Shirley Williams, Rosemary Hannan, Sandra (Mark) Stromberg, Barb Chapman, Dave (Missy) Kline, and Joseph Kline. Ed had 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Roy Kline Jr. and Dennis Kline, and grandson James Shadden Jr. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 25th, at Fusion Church in Adel. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 24th from 2-8 P.M. at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, Iowa where family will greet friends from 5-8 P.M. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
