Eh Wah, age 35, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on April 15, 2025.
Born in Thailand to Ma Thah and Ma Hla Win, Eh Wah was the eldest of five siblings. From an early age, he showed a deep love for music—an enduring passion that shaped much of his life. He was a gifted musician, playing guitar, bass, piano, and drums with ease, and he had a voice that touched many through his heartfelt singing, especially within his church community.
After graduating from high school, Eh Wah began working at the age of 18. He married the love of his life, Th Lay So, on October 12, 2013. Together they built a warm and loving home, raising three wonderful sons who were the light of his life.
Eh Wah was known for his strong work ethic and dedication, which led him to excel in his role as a Trainer in the food safety industry. His co-workers admired his knowledge, patience, and leadership.
Faith was a cornerstone of Eh Wah’s life. He actively attended church, where he shared his musical gifts and served his community with humility and joy. Whether through a song, a helping hand, or a kind word, Eh Wah was always there for his family, friends, and fellow church members.
Above all, Eh Wah was a devoted husband and a loving, proud father. His legacy of kindness, faith, and music lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Eh Wah is survived by his wife, Thalay Wah; sons, Brayson Wah, Zekiel Wah and Johann Wah; his father, Ma Thah; brothers, Eh Htoo and Eh Shee; and sisters, Eh Thaw Kya and April Paw.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ma Hla Win.
