Eleanore Anna Vanden Branden

Memorial service for Eleanor Anna Becky Vanden Branden, 89, of Urbandale, who passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Glen Oaks Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Urbandale, will be at 1:00 p.m., July 14 at Saint Lukes Episcopal Church in Des Moines. The family will greet friends at Christophers Restaurant following the service. Mrs. Vanden Branden was born in Green Bay, WI. and graduated from East High. Becky moved to Des Moines in 1953. She earned a bachelors degree in art education from Drake University. Becky worked as a substitute art teacher until 1989 when she and her husband, Robert retired near Hackensack, MN. Becky is survived by her sons, Roger, Robert and John; daughter, Margaret (Peggy) Leonard; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert.
