Ellen Recknor, age 62, of Johnston, IA, passed away Wednesday evening in the Iowa Methodist Medical Center Emergency Department. She was born in Creston, IA to Lois (Ames) and William B. Recknor. She was an author and freelance writer. Survivors include her father and sister, Martha Recknor of Urbandale. Her remains have been cremated and no services are planned.
