Funeral services for Emilio Caldern Navarro were held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry. Reverend Father Luis Mejia of St. Patrick Church officiated the service. Because of COVID 19 regulations, drive-by visitation with viewing was Monday June 1, 2020 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Hastings Funeral Home parking lot. Masks and social distancing were required. ~Emilio Caldern Navarro, son of Jes&uacutes Agustn Caldern Amaya and Fidelina Navarro de Caldern, was born on September 4, 1957 in Puerto La Liberta, El Salvador and died on May 27, 2020 at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 62. Emilio worked at Tyson here at Perry and enjoyed going fishing. He is over-lived by his son Elas Enrique Alas Amaya, brothers and sisters: Javier, Jos, Carlos, Roberto, Camilo, Francisco, Jes&uacutes, Fidelina, Carmen and Milagro.
