Erdyne Laborde

Erdyne"Dean" Laborde, daughter of Raymond McCann and Marguerite Bowerman McCann, was born January 29, 1925 in Perry, Michigan and died OCtober 24, 2007 at Dallas County Hospital in Perry, Iowa at the age of 82 years, 8 months and 25 days. "Dean" as she was lovingly known started school in Coberg, Montana and moved with her family in 1934 to Perry where she has since resided. She married Kenneth Laborde on December 14, 1941. They enjoyed ballroom dancing nad playing cards. Dean also enjoyed putting puzzles together and loved receiving current pictures of her grandchildren. She collected roosters and cardinals. Dean was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Perry and had been a member of the Does and Eastern Star. She had a long career in retail bookkeeping and sales. Dean retired for the third time in 1999. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth H. on February 1, 2004; brothers, Tom, George, and Jack McCann. Dean is survived by her sons, Harry and wife Neva, Kenneth and wife Karen, Larry and wife Valerie, and Robert and wife Mary of Perry; 6 grandchildren, Donald Labrode, Susan Jay, Penny Laborde, Gary Laborde, Dawn Adams, and David Laborde; 9 great-grandchildren, Ryan Jay, Donovan Laborde, Ashely Butler, Morgan English, Elizabeth English, Tara Hess, Justin Estes, Zack Estes, and True Laborde; 1 great-great-grandson, Tristan Hess; sister, Ruth Kalen; sisters-in-law, Betty McCann, Kathryn McCann, Ann MCCann, Vera Holseid; nieces, nephews, other relatvies and many friends.
