Evelyn Ford

Evelyn Ford, 79, of Clive went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 27, 2015. A visitation will be from 10:00 -11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 with a funeral service at 11:00 AM, at Fort Des Moines Open Bible Church. Burial will be at the Lone Tree Cemetery in Lone Tree, Iowa at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 2, 2015. Evelyn Lorraine (Bahr) Ford was born May 5, 1935 in Iowa Falls, Iowa to Harold and Elsie Bahr. She graduated from Iowa Falls High School in 1953. Evelyn married Jerry D. Ford on November 21, 1953. Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her family. Her hobbies included camping, traveling, crossword puzzles, and watching sports, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes. Evelyn enjoyed Facebook, and would check it every morning before her coffee. Evelyn is survived by her children; Linda Janssen, Jerry (Nancy) Ford, James (Janyce) Ford, David (Martha) Ford, and Kenneth (Lisa) Ford, 11 grandchildren; Jason (Darci) Janssen, Jeromey (Adriana) Ford, Angela (Joseph) Finke, Craig (Caitlin) Ford, Scott (fiancé Lauren) Ford, Arrion (Laura) Ford, Joseph Ford, Christopher Ford, Timothy Ford, Cody Ford, Noah Ford, 10 great-grandchildren; Hayden Janssen, Harper Janssen, Matt Ford, Austin Elizalde, Hunter Ford, Claire Ford, Owen Ford, Alyson Ford, Travis Ford, Levi Ford, 6 brothers; Harold (Martha) Bahr, Jr., Robert (Janice) Bahr, James (Linda) Bahr, Don (Connie) Bahr, Glen (Kay) Bahr, 3 sisters; Dorothy (Bill) Eldred, Phyllis (Vic) Ward, and Connie (Tom) Metzgar. She is preceded in death by her husband: Jerry, parents, 3 siblings, son: Jerald Ford, and a son-in-law: Rodney Janssen. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the general fund.
