Everett D. Carpenter

Everett Doyle Carpenter was born April 19, 1946 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Orville D. and Garnet Irene (Finch) Carpenter. His marriage to Joyce Pinckney took place on June 30, 1965 at the First Baptist Church in Indianola, Iowa. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joyce Carpenter of Lorimor; daughter, Dawn Michele Jarvie (Darrell) of Cheyenne, WY, and son Dennis Michael Carpenter (Janey) of Macksburg; five grandchildren, Michael Hull, Amanda Hull, Heather Carpenter, Andrew Carpenter, and Tyler Carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dale Raymond Carpenter. Everett was a life long area resident and was a self-employed truck driver most of his life. Everett died Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 59. Visitation: 2:30 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2005, at the Moon Cemetery in rural Macksburg, Iowa. Service: Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Lorimor. Memorial: 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2005 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset.
