Evonne ‘Bonnie’ I. Senhen, 75, of Winterset died Sunday, March 26, 2006 at the Kavanagh House on 56th Street in Des Moines. Evonne is survived by her husband, Larry Senhen of Winterset; three sons Mickey L. Lawrence of Ankeny; Gerald L. Lawrence, Sr. of Des Moines, and Joseph B. Dullard of Earlham; a step-daughter Julie Boekhout of Rock Rapids; eight grandchildren, Lisa Majors and husband, Jeff, Jim Lawrence and wife, Tanda, Loretta Lawrence, Bobby Lawrence, J.J. Lawrence, Mike Dullard, Nick Breeding, and Chance Dullard; two step grandchildren, Brandt Boekhout and Brecken Boekhout; six great grandchildren, Destiny Lawrence, Eternity Lawrence, Guy Lawrence, Zach Majors, Noah Majors, and Blake Dullard; a sister Dorothy Bussanmas of Des Moines; three brother-in-laws, Allan Bingaman of Waukee, Grover Senhen of Ida Grove, Tom Senhen of Ida Grove and one sister-in-law, Beverly Davis of Castana; and many nieces, nephews and families. Evonne was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and five sisters Evonne was born June 22, 1930 in St. Marys, Iowa, the daughter of Benjamin and Stella (Powers) Henson. She was a 1948 graduate of Indianola High School and was later married to Larry Senhen in Winterset. In the 1970’s she owned and operated Bonnie’s Lounge in Winterset. She also worked at the Madison County Elderly Services as a cook until her retirement. Evonne enjoyed family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were a very special part of her life and the Henson family reunion was something she looked forward to each year. When she was at home, she enjoyed reading westerns and mysteries and listening to George Jones and other country western music.
