Farice Marie Brandenburg

Farice Marie Brandenburg, age 92 of Madrid, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022, at Mercy West Lakes in West Des Moines, IA. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry, IA. Burial will be at Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the family for later designation and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Farice Brandenburg was born on July 9, 1929, in Bagley, Iowa to Daniel Clarence and Dorothy Inez (Young) Prescott. She attended school and graduated from Bagley High School. She was later united in marriage to Carl Addison Brandenburg in Jackson County, Missouri on November 15, 1948. To this union they had two children, Rhonda, and Michael. She worked at Super Value and was the first store manager at the Eastside Casey's General Store in Perry, where she worked until her retirement. Farice was a member of the Christian Church in Bagley, IA. She spent her leisure time square dancing, crocheting, taking cruises, cooking, but especially enjoyed going to grandchildrens and great grandchildrens events. She always said she was most proud of her two children. Farice rejoins her husband Carl Brandenburg, parents, Daniel and Dorothy Prescott and daughter-in-law, Gwen Brandenburg. Left to cherish Farices memory are her children, C. Michael (Mary Beth) Brandenburg, and Rhonda (Gordon) Laird, grandchildren, Kathy (JC) Stone, Kim (Cary) Knight, Dan (Heather) Brandenburg, Debra (Ryan) Brucker, great grandchildren, Zachary White, Kylie, Dillon and Karley Limoges, Gunner and Tucker Brandenburg and many beloved nieces and nephews.
