Fern Elizabeth Harrison

Fern Harrison, age 98 of Minburn, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021, at her home near Perry, IA. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at the Perry Bible Church in Perry. Visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the Bible Church in Perry. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery at Minburn, IA. Memorials will be given to Perry Bible Church or Suncrest Hospice and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Fern Elizabeth Harrison was born on November 5, 1922, at Perry, IA to Eugene Nathaniel and Lena O. (Brall) Hastie. She graduated from Perry High School. She was united in marriage to Dale Richard Harrison at Perry, IA on May 29, 1944. She worked at Moxley's Ice Cream Store, and Prebe's in Perry and Ben Franklin in Adel. She was a member of the Perry Bible Church. She enjoyed reading, watching birds, especially cardinals, and gardening. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In death she rejoins her husband Dale, parents Eugene and Lena, and sisters, Esther Bender, Lois Tingwald, and Doris Gardner. Left to cherish Ferns memory are her children, Harriett Green Young, Plano, IA, Penny (Rod) Gittins, Perry, IA and Jeff Harrison, Perry, IA, grandchildren, Jay (Cindy) Green, Tony (Megan) Green, Marcus (Stefanie) Green, Becky (Sam) Dobson, Mike (Julie) Gittins, Joe (Beth) Gittins, Ally (Michael) Craig, and Lydia (John) Acree, great grandchildren, Claire, Ella, and Sophia Green, Mason, Parker and Cooper Shepherd, Toby, Ayla and Izahnna Green, Meredith, Macey, and Milan Green, Millie and Edie Dobson, Jack and Will Gittins, Bristol, Myah and Laurel Gittins, and Logan, Hadley and Linley Craig and her nieces, Kathy Anderson, Debbie Martin, Nancy Luckow, Joy Hawbaker, Barb Roberts, Max Martinie, Kay Drake.
