Fletcher F. Jennings - Van Meter

Fletcher F. Jennings, 90, of Van Meter, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015. Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 18, 2015 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel. Burial with Navy Honors will follow at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter. Family will greet friends from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. before services. Fletcher was born on March 10, 1925, on a farm south of Van Meter. He graduated from Van Meter High School in 1943, served in the Navy during World War II and graduated from Iowa State University in 1950. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Jennings; step son, Kevin (Vicki Lee) Anderson; their children, Nick and Taylor and grandson, Ralph Taylor Jennings. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, LaVaun and her husband, Eph Earwood from Lohrville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Fletcher's memory to the American Legion Post #403 in Van Meter. Online condolences may be left at this site.
