Frances Louise (Grimes) Watson, 99 of Stuart, passed away Sunday, July 8 at the Stuart Community Care Center. A Graveside Service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Thorton-Stump Cemetery near Van Meter. Frances was born at Ogden, Iowa on April 2, 1919 to Ward Calvin and Ada Pearl (Steele) Grimes. She grew up in and around Adel and went to school there. Frances married Albert C. Watson in 1936. Three sons were born to this union, Wesley, Donald and Richard. Frances and Albert enjoyed country music and their guitars. She is survived by her sons, Wesley (Helen) Watson and Richard Watson; grandsons, David (Theresa) Watson and Jim Watson; and great granddaughters, Samantha and Lacey; great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; parents, Ward & Ada Grimes; son, Donald; grandson, Mike; brothers, Clarence Bud, Donald Leon and Richard Eugene Grimes; and sister, Hazel Juanita Cunningham.
