Gay Kilts

Gay Kilts, 54 of Perry died July 11, 2012 at her home. A Celebration of Gay's life was held 12 Noon, Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Ellen and Kevin Olsen's rural home, 18113 E Ave Dawson, Iowa. Gay Lynn Kilts, daughter of Clyde Beaman and Jeannine Kay Markley, was born June 21, 1958 in Des Moines, Iowa and died in her home in Perry, Iowa on July 11, 2012 at the age of 54. Gay grew up in Perry and attended Perry High School. Gay met Roy Rex Kilts in August of 1980 and the two were united in marriage on June 3, 1983. They made their home in Perry and were able to celebrate 25 years of marriage together. Gay was homemaker for many years, staying home to take care of her children, and later a food service provider at Tyson in Perry. Gay enjoyed playing games and camping. She loved being with her family and she enjoyed being around children, especially her grandchildren. All of the kids called Gay "Nanna" and it did not matter if they were her grandchildren or nieces and nephews. Gay is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rex, daughter, Brandie; and two infant grandchildren, Jason and Rosa. Gay is survived by sons: Brad Williams and Bill Kilts both of Perry, Iowa; daughter, Suzi McMullen (Andrew) of Claymore, Missouri; fiance Rick Pace of Perry, Iowa; sisters: Joi Dugan (Mark) of Bagley, Iowa; and Glee Kniffin (Frank) of Perry; a brother, Clyde Beaman (LeAnn) of Perry; six grandchildren: Abigale, Allison, Anna, Katie, Crystal, and Liz; five great-grandchildren: A.J., Keegan, Alex, Tanner, and Kiera, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. www.hastingsfh.com
