Geneen Winifred Tibben

Geneen Tibben, age 80 of Dawson, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at the Eden Acres Campus of Perry Lutheran Homes in Perry, IA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church, rural Bouton with visitation at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Dexter Cemetery at Dexter, IA. Memorials will be given to The Lutheran Hour or Perry Area Food Pantry and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Geneen Winifred Tibben was born on September 15, 1942, at Amery, WI to George Washington and Violet (Larson) Larson. She graduated from the New Richmond High School and attended AIB in Des Moines. She was united in marriage to Leroy Charles Tibben at Zion Lutheran Church in Dexter, IA on October 7, 1962. She worked at The Perry Chief as an ad builder and receptionist, for many years. Geneen also baked and grew produce to take to the Perry farmers market. Geneen was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, rural Bouton, IA and was a member of the choir. Family was her number one love. She loved attending church, singing in the choir and when she couldnt attend, she would watch the church service on Facebook. She enjoyed baking and feeding people. She was a lifelong blood donor and was an avid reader. In death she rejoins her parents, George and Violet Larson and a brother Donald Larson. Left to cherish Geneens memory are her husband Leroy Tibben, sons, Blaine (Kristen) Tibben, Ames, IA, Brian (Alice) Tibben, Ames, IA, and Bradley (De Anna) Tibben, Marshalltown, IA, grandchildren, Madison (Paul) Lundgren, Olivia Tibben, Anna Tibben, William Tibben, Jakob Tibben, and Abigail Tibben, great grandchildren, James Lundgren, Crew Lundgren and River Lundgren, a brother, Burleigh Larson, Baldwin, WI, and many nieces and nephews.
