George Frank Spoo Jr., son of George Frank Spoo Sr. and Lula Mae Cijs Spoo, was born June 2, 1947 in Manning, Iowa and died March 12, 2020 at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry, Iowa. George was raised in Coon Rapids and worked at the seed company. Then moved to California for 18 years and worked as a Security Guard and drove truck. In 2005 George moved to Perry and worked at Tyson for the last 15 years. He loved the Iowa Hawkeyes and also enjoyed watching the news and politics. He was a member of the American Legion in Perry. George is preceded in death by his parents George Sr. and Lula Spoo. He is survived by his son David Spoo of Perry; daughters: Mary Ann Youngblood of Perry, Denise Garcia of Perry and Melissa Spoo of Dexter; seven grandchildren: Marissa Spoo of Des Moines, Jacey Jaimes of Carroll, Jarel Madison of Dexter, Natasha Garcia of Osceola, Guadalupe Garcia of Perry, Marcos Garcia and Loedan Sanchez both of Perry; five great-grandchildren: Antonio, Luis, Adelina, Nayeli and Jaxon; half-brother David Lindahl of Tennessee; other relatives and many friends.
