Georgia Joann Christensen

Georgia JoAnn Christensen, 78, of Winterset passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020 surrounded by family at her daughter’s home in St. Charles. A visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday, January 6, 2020 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel, with a funeral service to follow, beginning at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Ron Bohall officiating. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation. Georgia was born January 12, 1941 at the family home to Ernest and Stella Lehman in Creston, Iowa. She was the fourth child out of five. As an adult Georgia attended college to earn her bookkeeping and accounting degrees. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Stella Lehman; brother, Ralph Lehman; sister, Betty Berry; and grandson Andrew Agee. Georgia is survived by her husband, Billy “Jake” Christensen; children, Brian (Mary Lou) Agee, Brenda (Rod) Amos, Deborah Ham, and Ben (Johnie) Patrick; grandchildren, Bree (Carson), Sasha, Shantel, Shaelyn, Brian, Jr. (Kailyn), Marissa (Billy), James, Nicole (Doug), Amber, Alan (Amanda), Kelsie (Blaque), and Jake; twelve great grandchildren with one on the way; sister, Jenny Shoning; and brother, Jack (Linda) Lehman. She will be missed dearly, but she is now resting peacefully in heaven with her loved ones who have passed before her.
