Gerald E. Williams

Gerald was born August 27, 1924 in Weldon, Iowa, the son of Albert G. and Tessie (Trisler) Williams. He married Hazel Scott on April 10, 1944 in Osceola, Iowa. 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 26, 2004 at First Christian Church, Winterset, Iowa He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister. After serving in the United States Army during WWII, Gerald worked as a mechanic, retiring after 27 years, for the Iowa Department of Transportation. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Winterset, the American Legion Post #184 of Winterset and the VFW Post #9399 of Apache Junction, Arizona. Gerald is survived by his wife, Hazel Williams of Winterset; two sons, Edward H. Williams and wife, Marilyn of Dearborn, Michigan and Robert K. Williams and wife, Donna of Norwalk, Iowa; one daughter, Linda Eckles and husband, Dennis of Winterset, Iowa; one sister Mary Murray of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Shawn Williams, Todd Williams, and Jennifer Johnson, Chance and Clint Eckles, and Gary and Julie Williams; and three great-grandchildren, Roxanne, Kaitlyn, and Tanner Williams. Visitation: Cremation will take place prior to the visitation. Service: Memorial contributions may be directed to the Middle River Hospice of Winterset, Iowa. Memorial: 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday April 25, 2004 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare
