Ginnie Noe Wheeler, 77, left her earthly bindings behind on May 1st, so she could join her beloved Savior.
Ginnie was born on May 10, 1945. She lived in Chicago, Turkey, Keokuk, Des Moines, Casey and West Des Moines. Her lively spirit left an impression on many people over her lifetime. She married three times, but only one time did she intentionally chose her partner for her own sake and not the sake of society, or her children. She had a decade of joy and adventures with Bob Wheeler, including travels, time with the WoodTurners at the Iowa State Fair, volunteering at BookWorks, Festival of Trees and enjoying their time at the Renaissance Fair every September, where they declared their wedding vows. Last June, she laid her beloved soul mate to rest and longed for a reunion with him from that day forward.
Ginnie never did anything in half measure. She was an artist, dealing mostly in the medium of fiber. Her creativity brought her into community with many people who will mourn her passing, including the Des Moines Weavers and Spinners Guild.
Left behind to grieve are her daughters, Rev. Elizabeth Bell and daughter Lorrie Little-May (husband Tim May); grandchildren Rogan Bell and Katie Bell, and Christina Little (Brandin) and Michelle Little (Chris); and four great grandchildren. Brother Mark Grudzinski (Monica); Aunty Em-Marilyn Noe-and cousin Charlotte Baldwin (Scott Kalberer). Additionally, Ginnie was always adopting more children by loving them and caring for them. Honorable mention goes to Kevin, Mark, David, Linda, Tracy and Larry.
Preceding her in death is Robert Wheeler, and her son, Christopher Lee, who were both there to greet her and to reveal the mysteries that evaporate upon the lifting of the veil between life and death.
