Gregory Alan Clark, age 58, passed away April 16th, 2021. Greg was born September 18, 1962, in Hammond, Indiana, to Herbert and Mary Clark. Outside of spending time with his family, Greg enjoyed many outdoor activities, including running, biking, and hiking. One of his recent accomplishments was climbing The Half Dome in Yosemite National Park. He was also an avid runner, ran with the Des Moines Running Club, and, only God knows why, enjoyed running marathons in his free time. Greg was a voracious learner in all aspects of life. He always chose to look on the bright side with his vibrant sense of humor. He never met a stranger he couldn’t instantly turn into a friend. Greg was a man of faith so we can say with confidence that we will see him again in Heaven. He demonstrated his faith through his hospitality and kindness. Serving was at the center of all that he did; whether it was for his wife and children or in partnership with Millions For Christ Missions in Sierra Leone, Africa. Through his contagious generosity, he impacted all that he came in contact with. Greg was preceded in death by his Father, Herbert, and his Mother, Mary and will be joining his recently-deceased brother-in-law, Michael, in Heaven. He was a loving husband of 32 years to Suzanne (nee Bitonti); a faithful father to Jason, Erica, Diana, and Mikala; a thoughtful brother to Kevin, Dave (Berta), and Sue; an uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a friend to all. Visitation will be held at Creekside Church in Urbandale, Iowa on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held the following day on Friday, April 23, at 10:00 am at Creekside Church. In lieu of flowers, donate to Millions For Christ Missions at mfcmissions.org.
