Gregory Lester Ward

Hastings Funeral Home in PERRY is in charge of arrangements for Greg Ward, 43 of Woodward. Mr. Ward died at his home Friday, September 28, 2018. Services will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry. Gregory Lester Ward, son of Kenneth Leon Ward and Ginger Deborah Allison, was born February 25, 1975 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and died at his home in Woodward, Iowa, September 28, 2018 at the age of 43. When very young, his family moved to Texas and when 15, moved to Iowa. Greg chose to move to Woodward eight years ago to be near his son Isaac who lived with his mother Christy Keyes and her family. Greg was a private person. He was straight forward and never pretentious. Greg always worked hard, and excelled at any task he undertook. For over twenty years Greg worked at the hard task of roofing. The last two years he was self-employed. Greg was preceded in death by his parents. Greg's memory will be cherished by his son Isaac Ward of Woodward; loved one and Isaac's mother Christy Keyes, two brothers Johnny Robins and his children, and Kenny Ward and his children all of Texas; his aunt Martha Ward; and two uncles Billy Ray Ward and Jethro Ward all of Texas; his step family of Texas; other relatives and friends. Greg had a ton of love in his heart and good intentions which he could not always deliver.
