Harlene H. Lepovitz - Adel

Harlene Harper Lepovitz of Adel died Thursday, April 16 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, April 20 at the First Christian Church in Adel. Friends may call from 3:00-5:00 PM Sunday, April 19 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, with a prayer service at 5:00 PM. Harlene was born October 31, 1925 in Adel to Harley and Sadie (Seaboldt) Harper. Harlene worked for the State of Iowa for 25 years before retiring in 1988. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, playing cards and dominoes with friends and spending time with her family. She especially treasured her great grandchildren Gunnar and Kensington. She was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church in Adel and belonged to Steadfast Circle and CWF. Survivors include daughters, Gloria Lepovitz Isham and Kathy (Ross) Standley; grandsons, Devan (Lacey), Tyler and Andrew; her great grandchildren and brother, Larry Harper. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bethel Whitecotton and sister-in-law, Carolyn Harper. Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Christian Church or to the family.
