Harriett L Cole

Harriett L. Swanson-Cole, 90 of Des Moines, died May 15, 2014 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. Mrs. Cole was born in Davenport, Iowa and had lived in Des Moines, Yuma, Arizona, Los Angeles and Santa Monica, California before returning to Des Moines. She was a retired administrative assistant. She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity, Animal Protection Society, Friends of Franklin Avenue Library and Kirkwood Glen Neighborhood Assoc. She enjoyed pets, gardening, reading and music. There are no immediate survivors. Burial of cremains will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in Davenport, Iowa. Memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin Avenue Library or the Animal protection Society of Iowa.
