Harvey Grabill

Harvey Marion Grabill 81, passed away on May 7, 2022. He was born on July 23, 1940 to James “Archie” Grabill and Lena Lucille Moore in MO. Harvey moved to Minburn, Iowa. He later met his wife Linda (Rote) Grabill. They married on November, 24 1979 and together they raised 12 children. Harvey worked for the City of Adel for 22 years and retired in 2001 and also served on the Adel Fire Department. Harvey was very much a family man, he enjoyed watching his nephews and grandsons race at the local dirt tracks, and taking his grandchildren fishing. Harvey also enjoyed mowing and camping. Harvey is survived by his wife Linda, mother in law Phyllis Rote, siblings Richard Grabill, Cecil Grabill, Oscar Grabill, Bill Grabill and Virginia, children Mary, Patricia, Lewis, Rebecca, Ruby, Rose, Bobby (Robbi) Culp and Julie Kinkennon. Grandchildren Butch Culp, Steven Culp (Bernadette) Culp, James Culp (Ashley), Scott Culp (Amy), Nicole Kinkennon-Bettis, Chad (Jordyn) Culp, Lisa Culp (Clint), Kylie Mendoza (Sergio), Jeff (Kaiti) Culp, Brooke Grabill, Hollywood Grabill and great grandchildren Emma, Shyeanne, Deacon, Scarlet, Talen, Lanie, Dean, Ian, Camila, Grayson, Wayne and Maverick, as well as many other relatives and friends. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, father in law Dean Rote, sisters Viola Hickman, Vera Pruitt, Freda Hadley, Sylvia Blitz, brother in law Bob Pruitt, and sons Dean, Paul, Lawerence and Terry. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 13th, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 pm and funeral services Saturday, May 14th, 2022 11:00 AM at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home 735 S 14th St, Adel. A luncheon will follow the funeral services at the Adel Fire Department 102 S 10th St.
