Herbert G. Madren - Redfield

Herbert George Madren, 76, died Friday, August 28, 2015 in Des Moines, IA. He was born April 10, 1939, in Redfield to Herman and Druscilla (Karns) Madren. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, August 31, 2015 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, with burial at East Linn Cemetery near Redfield. Friends may call after Noon on Sunday at the funeral home, where family will greet friends from 2:00-5:00 pm, with prayer service at 5:00 pm. In 1984, he married Cherie Louise Kopaska Cave. With this union, two families were united and five children were loved unconditionally. Herb enjoyed restoring old cars, going to car shows, and camping with Cherie and their friends. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends. Herb worked at SuperValu warehouse and made many friends before retiring. Herb will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Cherie Madren of Redfield; sons, Mark (Lynn) Madren of Redfield, Matt Madren of Colorado, and Doug (Jody) Cave of Adel; daughters, Annette Miller of Bouton and Julia (Todd) Cave of Earlham; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Memorial contributions in Herb's name may be directed to the First State Bank in Redfield. Online condolences may be left at this site.
