Hoa Van Truong

Hastings Funeral Home in Perry is in charge of services for Hoa Van Truong 49. Mr. Truong died September 30 at his home in Perry. Funeral services will be at 8:00 a.m. Saturday October 5, 2019. Visitation Friday October 4, after 1:00 p.m. until 5:00p.m. Burial will take place at a later date in Vietnam. Hoa Van Truong, son of Nghia Van Tran and Marih Thi Truong, was born March 7, 1970 in Vietnam and died September 30, 2019 at his home in Perry, Iowa at the age of 49. Hoa moved to the United States in 1991 and was sponsored by the Methodist Church. He enjoyed music, karaoke and family gatherings. On April 24, 1995 Hoa and Mai Thuy Bich were united in marriage. The couple was blessed with a daughter Cindy and a son Andy. He worked many years at Tyson in Perry. Hoa will be greatly missed by his wife Mai (Thuy) Dang; son Andy and daughter Cindy Truong both of Perry, IA; his father Nghia Van Tran and mother Manh Thi Truong of Perry, IA; brothers and sisters: Nga Tran (Coi Nguyen) of Fort Dodge, IA; Mai Tran (Dung Nguyen) of Perry, IA; Nancy Tran of Fort Smith, AK; Dung Tran of Boone, IA; Lam Tran (Kimngoc- Ngo) of Charlotte, NC; and Trina Quach - Tran (Khoi Quach) of Des Moines, IA; other relatives and many friends.
