Inez Marquardt 'Formerly Of Van Meter' - Winterset

Inez Marquardt, 87, of Winterset, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at West Bridge Care & Rehabilitation in Winterset. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 29, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Van Meter with Pastor Kenneth Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. Inez was born on March 15, 1926, at Madison County, Iowa to Seth and Addie (McDonald) Nelson. In 1944 Inez graduated from Winterset High School. She was married on March 15, 1947 at Trinity Lutheran Church to Walter Marquardt. She was a lifetime resident of Madison County and had worked as a farmer's wife and homemaker. She had been a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Inez is survived by her husband, Walter Marquardt of Winterset; sons, Doyle Marquardt of Van Meter and Darvin (Janet) Marquardt of Ames; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Vera Fletcher. She was preceded in death by her parents, Seth and Addie (McDonald) Nelson; and sister, Doris Nelson. Memorials given to the family will be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or Middle River Hospice.
