Jack Curtis Frost, 92, passed away on September 8, 2018 at Calvin Community Nursing Home in Des Moines. A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 13 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory in Urbandale. Jack was born December 12, 1925 in Ottumwa, Iowa to James and Nellie Frost. Jack served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a member of the Chanters Unit of the Za-Ga-Zig Shrine. He was also a member of the Daylight Masonic Lodge #660 and a 33rd degree Mason of the Scottish Rite. Jack moved to Des Moines in 1956. He worked as an engineer for Union Pacific Railroad prior to working for NW Bell Telephone Company until he retired in 1986. Jack is survived by his wife, Wilma; grandchildren, James (Marcy) Heggen and Brenda (Mike) Carter; two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Emily Carter; and son-in-law, Tim Cantrell. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Jane Cantrell; brother, Richard; and sister, Marjorie Deets. Memorial contributions may be given to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
