Jade Elizabeth Nance, 23, of Waukee, formerly of Perry, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at her home in Waukee. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.caldwellparrish.com.
Born on September 27, 2001, in Des Moines, Iowa, Jade was the daughter of Doug and Beth (Molle) Nance. The eldest of four children, she grew up in Perry and graduated from Perry High School with the Class of 2020.
In December 2024, Jade moved to Waukee to begin a new chapter in her life. She found fulfillment working as a school nutritionist for the Waukee School District, where she not only served meals but also brightened the days of the children she interacted with.
Jade had a naturally social and outgoing personality, making friends wherever she went. Her presence was uplifting, and she had a way of making everyone feel special and valued. One of her greatest joys in life was her beloved dog, Daisy. The two were inseparable, and Jade found comfort and companionship in Daisy’s unconditional love.
Known for her radiant smile, infectious laughter, and compassionate heart, Jade left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She had an incredible ability to bring warmth and happiness into any space, making those around her feel loved and appreciated. Her kindness, energy, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew her.
Jade is survived by her mother, Beth Nance of Woodward; her father, Doug Nance of Waukee; her siblings, Cloe, Emma, and Andrew Nance, all of Woodward; maternal grandparents, Don and Helen Molle of Bagley; paternal grandparents, Russ and Vicki Nance of Woodward; as well as many aunts, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her uncles, Jeremiah Nance and Dennis Walden.
