James C. Button - Adel

James C. Button passed away May 6, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Memorial Services will be 5:00 P.M. Saturday, May 9 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel. Private family burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery in Adel, at a later date. Family will greet friends from 3-5 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home prior to services. Jim graduated from Valley High School in 1969. He became a police officer in 1973 and retired from the Urbandale Police Department in 1999. Jim will be surely missed by his family and friends. Jim leaves behind to honor his memory his wife, Ann; sons, Jay (Nicole) of Adel and Tim of Des Moines; daughters, Kerry of Nevada and Ciera of Clive; his beloved six grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Jim and mother, Regina and brothers, Dennis and Stephen. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association or the Urbandale Police Department Benevolent. Online condolences may be left at this site.
