Jane Anne Gunter, 75, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015, after complications from lung cancer surgery. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 21 at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset, Iowa, where Father Daniel Kirby will officiate. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery and a luncheon will be provided following the committal at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and online condolences may be left for the family at ochiltree.com. Anne was born in Winterset, Iowa on March 23, 1939 to the late Peter and Katherine Cunningham. She graduated from Winterset High School and received a degree in Education from Loretta Heights College. Her marriage to Robert Duane Gunter took place on August 5, 1961. Bob and Anne lived in St. Louis for over 30 years where they raised their family. Anne worked as an Assistant Editor for the Mosby Times Mirror until her retirement in 1999. After retiring, Bob and Anne spent their winters in Apache Junction, AZ, until retiring to Hot Springs Village in 2011. Anne is survived by her husband, Bob Gunter of Hot Springs Village, AR; children, Michael (Kathy) Gunter of Conway, AR, Lori (Scott) Jordt of La Porte City, IA and Susan (Travis) Deaton of La Porte City, IA; four grandchildren, Andi Jordt, Sarah Gunter and Emma and Mae Deaton; brothers, P.J. (Shirley) Cunningham of Winterset, IA and Mike (Jean) Cunningham of Minneapolis, MN; stepmother, Ruth Cunningham of Winterset, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
