Janette "Jan" Friedrichsen, age 61 of Gowrie and formerly of Perry, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Aspire of Gowrie in Gowrie, IA. Visitation will be on Monday, February 6, 2023, from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. with family present from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be in the Peoples Cemetery at a later date. Memorials will be given to Aspire of Gowrie or Unity Point Hospice and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Online condolences may be left at www.carrisfuneralhome.com. Janette "Jan" Marie Friedrichsen was born on January 4, 1962, at Perry, IA to Eugene William and Betty Mae (Rothfus) Friedrichsen. She graduated from Perry High School, and then attained a Liberal Arts Degree at DMACC in Boone. She worked at various jobs in Perry and Des Moines. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Bouton, IA. She loved sewing, cross stitching, crafts, and smoking. In death she rejoins her parents, Eugene and Betty Friedrichsen, and a brother Gary Friedrichsen. Left to cherish Jans memory are her siblings, Karen (Dick) Henson, Donna Wells, Norma (Charlie) Seibert, Robert (Lisa) Friedrichsen, and John (Beth) Friedrichsen and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
