Janice Ruth Bradley, 80, passed away at her apartment on August 20th, 2023. She was born on November 17th, 1942 to George and Nellie “Breeden” Curfman.
Janice and her husband, Gary’s, lives were a testament to the freedom of the open road. Originally from Bushnell, Illinois, Des Moines, Iowa, became their home in 1996. From the cornfields of Iowa to the Lone Star State of Texas, the majestic mountains of Colorado, to the vast deserts of Arizona, and back to their beloved Iowa, they roamed with an adventurous spirit that knew no bounds. It wasn’t just the RV life that defined them, they traveled North America on their Honda Goldwing well into 2020. Janice’s adventurous spirit, her love for the open road, and her zest for life will forever be etched in our hearts.
After years of traversing the open roads in their RV, Janice and Gary settled down at Luther Park Apartments. Gary passed on August 18, 2022, and the Luther Park family became like family to her. Janice and Gary were long time members of Redeemer Lutheran Church and she also had a spiritual home within her Lutheran Church Community. Her unwavering faith and active involvement in the church were a testament to her deep-rooted values and sense of belonging.
She is survived by her daughter Angela Koch; grandchildren Kelsey Koch (Nathan McCabe) and Natalie Koch; brothers Raymond Curfman and Dale (Loretta) Curfman; cat Mister; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Gary and her parents.
To honor Janice’s wishes, there will be no services.
