Janice “Jan” Marie Krohn, 82, peacefully passed away August 9, 2018. Jan was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Martin and Clara Mueller on August 16th, 1935. Raised in Manson, Iowa, she married Henry Krohn of Pomeroy, Iowa in 1955. They later moved to a farm in Jackson, Minnesota where they welcomed their three children Randal, Rhonda and Susan. They moved to Waukee, Iowa in 1969 where all three children attended school. Jan was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grand-mother and great-grandmother whose biggest joy in life was her family. After raising her children she worked for 35 years at Methodist Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Henry Krohn, their children: Randy (Jean), Rhonda (Ric) Butz, Susan (Richard) Meeske, their grandchildren; Justin (Jen) Krohn, Erica Krohn-Barkey, Jordan Krohn, Ryan (Veronika) Fish, Jeremy (Katie) Fish, Joseph Fish, Brianna Meeske, Conner Meeske, Great-grandchildren; William Krohn, Emeri, Essa and Everest Barkey, William and Klara Fish, Charlie Fish, Sierra Fish, Chloe Meeske and soon-to-be-welcomed another baby Krohn. In addition, she is survived by her sister Joann (Ed) Becker of Fort Dodge as well as many other extended family members and friends. A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 15th at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 p.m. The Funeral will be held at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 16th. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Shepherd of the Valley Church or to the Iowa chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association.
