Javier ‘Javi’ Hernandez, 39, of Perry, tragically passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024, because of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident, along side his beloved mother Amelia Huaracha Rodriguez.
Javier was born on October 17, 1985, in Jalisco, Mexico, to Jose Hernandez Moreno and Amelia Huaracha Rodriguez.
Javier was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a cherished member of the community. Javier was a 2004 Perry graduate, the proud owner of Javier’s Construction, and a volunteer firefighter. He also believed deeply in the power of education, and through the Javier’s Construction Scholarship, he helped many PHS students achieve their dreams.
Javier enjoyed hunting and fishing along with spending time with family and friends. He loved taking his daughters shopping. He was known for his easy going and kindhearted manner.
He was married to his high school sweetheart, Araceli Herrera, on July 22, 2006. Javier and Araceli have three daughters, Alejandra (16), Alexa (11) and Ariana (9). Javier devoted himself to providing and caring for his family.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Araceli, three daughters, father, Jose Hernandez Moreno, Brother – Jesus Hernandez, Sisters – Maricela Sanchez and Margarita Hernandez and best friend, Vicente Noyola. He also leaves behind an extensive extended family and many friends.
He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents and his father-in-law, Juan Herrera Gonzalez.
The visitation will take place on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Perry, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m. also at the church. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry.
