Hastings Funeral Home in Perry, is in charge of arrangements for Jay (Parke) Steece, 60, of Perry, who died March 2, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., at Violet Hill Cemetery, in Perry. Jay is survived by his wife Kelly Lynch - Steece, of Perry; daughters, Alysha Steece DeHoet, of Jefferson; Kiarha Steece and Halley Steece both of Adel. Other children, Dustin Lynch, of Perry; Ashley Lynch Alvarez (Juan), of Granger; Chelsea Meier and MaKayla Meier, both of Bouton. One Sister, Jackie Yakel of Phoenix, Arizona and 12 grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to Hastings Funeral Home, for the family. Parke Jay Steece, 60, was born on January 20, 1956, to Dorothy Gist and Parke Steece, in Perry. He died on March 2, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Parke, or Jay to most who knew him, grew up around Perry and Bouton. He graduated from Perry High School. Jay married Theressa Kral and was blessed with a daughter, they named Alysha. Jay then married Chloe Betts and with that union, they were blessed with two daughters, Halley and Kiarha. Jay married Kelly Lynch on August 17, 2002 and together the two have 7 children, including Kelly's children Dustin, Ashley, Chelsea and MaKayla. Jay worked as a concrete truck driver for V.O. Concrete, later known as American concrete. He then went on to work for Tyson's for two years, until his health declined. Jay loved his Siberian Huskies "Misty Blue", "Mountain", "Smokey" and many more. After the death of "Misty Blue", Kelly brought home a cat, they named "Blue", which Jay dearly loved. Jay was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Casey DeHoet.
