Jean was in born in Ft. Dodge Iowa on February 6, 1966 along with her twin sister Joyce. She graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1984. After graduation she attended and graduated from Spencer school of Business where she met her husband Jamie Tigges of Audubon, Iowa. Jean and Jamie moved to the Des Moines area and married on April 9, 1988. They lived in Des Moines until the fall of 1998 and then moved to Adel, Iowa where they started a family and where they still reside today. Jean’s first job was at her family’s restaurant, Olson’s Dairy Freeze, in Pocahontas. Great memories and lasting friendships were made in those years. Jean had several jobs in the insurance industry in the Des Moines metro area doing accounting work. She obtained her BA degree in Human Resources through Simpson College later on all while being a wonderful wife, mother and friend to many. Jean loved her time with family especially her daughters, sisters and close relatives. She enjoyed getting together with neighbors and gathering with close friends. She shared quite the twin bond with Joyce a bond only those two will ever know and share. Jean liked to read, shop, and travel whenever she could. Jean and Jamie shared the love music from the 1970’s and 1980’s and saw several concerts, The Eagles, Reo Speedwagon, Styx and Journey. Journey’s hit song “Don’t Stop Believing” is held close to their hearts and brings back lots of memories. Until we meet again, Jean, we love you!!!!
