Jeanette Marie Lewis

Jeanette Lewis, age 73 of Perry, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry, IA. Celebration of Life Gathering will be on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Memorials will be given to her family and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Jeanette Marie Lewis was born on April 5, 1950, at Mountain, North Dakota to Elmer Holdorf and Gudrun Marion (Thorlacius) Norgart Sr. She graduated from Perry High School, and then DMACC in Ankeny with a Social Services degree. She worked at Perry Lutheran Home for 15 years, the Woodward Resource Center for 10 years, and Caseys General Store in Perry for 25 years. She loved to go to the casino, crocheting, and reading. In death she rejoins her parents, Elmer and Gudrun Norgart, sister, Kathy Creese, and a brother, David Norgart. Left to cherish Jeanettes memory are her, children, Geneen (Mike) Hilsenbeck, Rippey, IA, and Jeffrey (Dawn) Lewis, Perry, IA, grandchildren, Andi Mae Lewis, Texas, Brendon Phelps, Oregon, Skyler Anderson, Rippey, IA, Isabel Lewis, Rippey, IA, Gabriel Hilsenbeck, Rippey, IA, and Aidrhianna Lewis, Perry, IA, siblings, Evie Launderville, Ogden, IA, Marie (Jim) Pohl, Perry, IA, Becky Norgart, Perry, and Duane (Dawn) Norgart of Guthrie Center.
