Jeanine Mary Lynch

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeanine (Thorsheim) Lynch, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher, and friend. Jeanine peacefully left us on June 25th, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.

Jeanine was a loving wife to her late husband, Stan, who passed away six years ago. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. Jeanine was the proud and loving mother of her two sons, Nathan (wife Rebecca) and Jeff (wife Dani). Her love extended to her four grandchildren, Henry, Annabelle, Nora and Stella, who brought immense joy and pride to her life.

Jeanine was also a cherished sister to Linda (Joe) Davidson, Julie (Bob) Westlund, and beloved Aunt Jeanie to her nieces and nephews.

For 41 years, Jeanine dedicated herself to teaching, and had a unique ability to make her students feel special and valued.

Jeanine's life was a testament of her love, and kindness to everyone she met. She will be remembered for her unwavering commitment to her family, her passion for teaching, and her love of entertaining family and friends at their lake house in Clear Lake, Iowa.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Friday June 28, 2024 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Urbandale. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Capitol Hill Lutheran Church in Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jeanine’s name to the Johnston Partnership or Lawson Elementary PTO.

Rest in peace, dear Jeanine. Your legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in our hearts.
