Jeanne Marie Putman

Jeanne Putman, age 98 of Des Moines formerly of Perry, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at The Life Center Iowa Jewish Senior Life Center in Des Moines, IA. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Panther Creek Church of the Brethren near Adel. Visitation will be on Monday, December 26, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be in the Panther Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery near Adel. Memorials will be given to Panther Creek Church of the Brethren and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Online condolences may be left at www.carrisfuneralhome.com. Jeanne Marie Putman was born on August 23, 1924, at Chariton, IA to Tonzo Dewitt and Sarah (Downard) Evans. She graduated from Williamson High School in Williamson, IA. After working for many years, she went to DMACC. She was united in marriage to Ralph Eugene at Maryland in January of 1945. She worked for 30 years at Woodward State Hospital from 1956 to 1986. She was a member of the Panther Creek Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In death she rejoins her husband Ralph Putman, parents, Tonzo and Sarah Evans, son, Daniel Putman, grandsons, Scott Putman and Miles Fredericks, siblings, Gwendolyn Wilson, Arlington Evans, and Dorothy Evans.
